Rami Fortis Collab

Vinyl Redesign – Academic / Typography Graphic Design Project

Project context

This project was created as part of an official collaboration between the academic institution and musician Rami Fortis, and focused on redesigning the album “Shoter Poshéa VeHaAnak HaLohesh.” The work was presented in an official exhibition at the Tel Aviv–Jaffa Port, in the presence of the artist. The project was completed as a collaborative effort with Noam Elgabci as part of a typography course.

Project goal and concept

The goal of the project was to translate the musical and narrative world of the album into a cohesive typographic and visual language. The work focused on typography as the core of the visual identity, the creation of a custom hand-drawn typeface for song titles and covers, and the adaptation of visual atmosphere to each song individually. A limited color palette of blue, red, black and white was chosen to maintain a strong and consistent visual system.

Visual system and outcomes

The project included the design of a complete system consisting of a vinyl record, booklet, cassette, and a small accompanying insert. Each song was paired with a dedicated illustration, and all elements were designed as part of one cohesive system, with a clear connection between typography, illustration, and color.

Outcome

A redesigned edition of “Shoter Poshéa VeHaAnak HaLohesh” as a typographic–visual project, combining a custom typeface, illustration, and color to create a unified design language aligned with the musical world of Rami Fortis.
